Something about me is that I really know how to shoot my shot. I’ve forced many a friendships this way and have had the chance to photograph so many incredible people. This wedding is yet another success story of this risky trait of mine. Right when I saw that my long time friend, Logan, proposed to his beautiful girlfriend, Rachel, it was ON. I followed her immediately on Instagram and messaged Logan asking if they were looking for a wedding photographer. Not long after, I set up a time to chat with the two of them and they said they loved my work and wanted to move forward in the booking process for their wedding. BOOYAH. I was so excited! Getting to photograph friend’s weddings is one of the greatest honors and it just makes me so dang happy… even if I happen to politely force my photography onto them.
After months of planning, the day was finally here! This wedding was held at Logan’s family home in Spokane, WA. The whole bridal party got ready at the home. The florist was a good friend of the bride who was on sight creating all of the beautiful arrangements, the family made all of the food, and the details were put together by the lovely Lauren Carney, the grooms sister. Every little piece of this day was so special and personalized to the couple and their people, it was so incredible to get to be a part of it.
The ceremony took place in the front yard, with an incredible baby’s breath arch and a back drop of pine trees. The backyard of the family’s home is a conservation area full of pine trees and open fields, which is where we did most of our photos. The reception was held in front of the shop with twinkle lights strung all around. The couple and their guests danced the night away until the bride and groom took off in the vintage Ford Mustang owned by the family.
